Fostering climate based learning in Queensland schools
Brisbane Sustainability Agency has partnered with RACQ to develop a sustainability education incursion program for Queensland Schools. The pilot incursion program is aimed at supporting education curriculum and increasing students understanding of sustainability and how to take informed actions in their home, school and wider community. The pilot will begin in 2026, focusing on grades 5 and 6 in the primary education space and years 9 and 10 in high schools.
What is the program?
Designed for Queensland classrooms, this incursion supports student learning by turning complex sustainability concepts into a clear, age‑appropriate, solutions focused program that empowers students with confidence, agency and critical thinking, and supports Australian Curriculum outcomes. It’s an ideal choice for teachers seeking a high‑quality, fully facilitated program grounded in current research and real‑world relevance.
